Grand Opening Celebration
EDC Republican Campaign Headquarters
The El Dorado County Republican Central Committee (RCC), announces the grand opening of their 2018 Election Campaign Headquarters, located at 3161 Cameron Park Drive, Suite 111, Cameron Park (just across the road from the Cameron Park Airport).
We invite all to attend the grand opening celebration, on Friday, September 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The RCC invites guests to enjoy Hors d’oeuvres and beverages, while touring the new office, along with meeting your RCC representatives. State & local candidates have also been invited to attend.
This headquarters is one of the distribution centers for signs & campaign collateral for Yes on 6 (Repeal the Gas Tax). There is also information and campaign collateral for State & local candidates and Congressman Tom McClintock.
You can also register to vote, no matter what party affiliation. Many still believe if you register to vote, than you are put on a list for jury duty, but that has not been true for many years. Jurors are selected from their drivers licenses. If you have changed your address or name, since you last voted, you must fill out a new registration form, or you may risk not receiving your voter information, or if you are an absentee voter, your ballot.
Young people who turn 18 years of age, prior to the November 6 election date, may register now and will be able to vote for the first time.
The office officially opened this week, and the hours are Tuesday thru Friday, 10am to 6 pm, and Saturday’s, 10 am to 3 pm. The office also has information about the state propositions and county measures.
All agree this is one of the most important elections, that Californian’s have seen in decades. On the top of the list, is voters opportunity to finally have a say about the gas tax. There is also an $8.7 billion water bond on the ballot. In El Dorado County, the Board of Supervisors has a Measure to amend the County Charter, extending their term limits from 2 four year terms to 3 four year terms. This is your state and your county and it is important that everyone shows up to vote on November 6.
If you have any question about your voter status, or require other information, please call the County Elections Department at 621-7480.
