Assemblyman Kevin Kiley and Clayton Markin, representing Travis Allen, candidate for Governor, will be the guest speakers at the El Dorado County Republican Central Committee (RCC) meeting, on Monday, November 13th, at Park Community Church, 3901 Wild Chaparral Drive in Shingle Springs.
The meeting begins at 6:30 pm, and is open to the public.
Kevin Kiley represents District 6, whose areas represent mainly the western slope of El Dorado County and areas of Placer County and Folsom. During his first year in office, Kiley received statewide acclaim for his legislation to strip the Attorney General of the power to write misleading ballot titles and summaries, earning support from the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register and Sacramento Bee,
Kiley also authored successful legislation to to strengthen protections for campus free speech, which the Pacific Research Institute has described as a potential turning point for California campuses.
Candidate for Governor Travis Allen, has initiated the Repeal the Gas Tax initiative and recently defeated State Attorney General Becerra’s court action to prohibit the circulation of the Gas Tax Repeal petition, that will soon be distributed. The RCC will be joining in that effort to collect signatures. Allen has also come out in strong opposition to the Sanctuary State Jurisdiction (SB 54), passed by Brown and the Democrat members of the State Legislature.
The El Dorasdo County RCC had several delegates represented at he recent California Republican State Convention, where they were able to meet with many elected officials and state candidates. The RCC has already entered the planning & strategy stage for the 2018 Statewide election.
The RCC meets the second Monday of each month, at 6:30 pm, at the Park Community Church. The public is always invited to attend and associate member applications will be available at the November 13th meeting.
